Zhytomyr as the second city in Ukraine to be certified with the European Energy Award

Within the scope of the Energy Efficiency Zhytomyr Project by order of SECO, econcept supports the city administration in the development of its sustainability management. On 19 March, the award ceremony for the European Energy Award took place.

The European Energy Award was presented in the presence of Gennadiy Zubko, Vice Prime Ministers Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine and Holger Tausch, Director of Cooperation at the Swiss Embassy. Over the last three years, the city of Zhytomyr, supported by econcept, has systematized its municipal energy policy and with 54% of possible points achieved a very good result. Together with Vinnytsia, it is thus one of the pioneering cities in Ukraine.
