Climate

Climate change is a global phenomenon with major environmental, economic and social challenges. To tackle climate change, changes in the areas of mitigation and adaptation are necessary. For both strategies, there are international, national, regional as well as local approaches, which are implemented on political, institutional and societal levels. econcept researches, analyses and supports the implementation of projects from the local to the international level. With our interdisciplinary teams, we cover a wide range of climate-relevant topics. These include non-energy emissions from agriculture, indirect emissions from production, consumption and food, as well as negative emission technologies and carbon sinks.

Focus Areas

We support public and private institutions in the development of concepts and strategies for decarbonisation as well as in the implementation of projects and programmes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Planungsbericht über die Klima- und Energiepolitik 2021 des Kantons Luzern

Der Luzerner Regierungsrat will Massnahmen ergreifen, um das Klimaziel von Netto-Null Emissionen bis 2050 zu erreichen. Seit Januar 2021 liegt der mit Unterstützung von econcept erarbeitete Planungsbericht zur Klima- und Energiepolitik 2021 vor.

    Mit der Langfristigen Klimastrategie zeigt der Kanton Zürich auf, wie er das Ziel von netto null Treibhausgasen erreichen will. Von econcept mitentwickelte Indikatoren helfen dabei, die Wirkungen einzuschätzen.

    Leitbild und Aktionsplan nachhaltige Ernährung

    Zusammen mit Foodways Consulting erwarbeitete econcept im Auftrag des Kantons Zürich ein Leitbild "nachhaltige Ernährung" sowie einen Aktionsplan mit Fokus Foodwaste und Klima.

  • Environment / natural resources

    Weiterentwicklung Ernährungsstrategie

    Zur Förderung einer nachhaltigen Ernährung hat die Stadt Zürich die «Strategie nachhaltige Ernährung 2023» erarbeitet. econcept agierte als externe Projektunterstützung für das UGZ, leitete durch die Vernehmlassung und unterstützte die zuständigen Fachpersonen fachlich.

To this end, we utilise the instruments of the European Energy Award (Energy City label).
